Alureon Trojan Horse Creates Havoc on Windows Based Computer Systems
Computer systems infected with an Alureon Trojan can exhibit reduced function or become useless once the virus infection grows throughout the system. This relatively new Trojan invites additional malware downloads and leaves the system open to personal information. It is important for any computer system with a network connection to be protected from potential virus infections to prevent malware from remaining on the system.
The Alureon Trojan is a program capable of bypassing some security and gains access through the web browser. It is a relatively new threat that targets Windows compatible systems. Once this Trojan has been established on the computer system it will continue to perform its function in one of two ways depending on the type. The downloading type opens the computer allowing additional malware to download on the system. A DNS changer will hijack the web browser and jump to an unintended website. Often the website may be a false site with a detrimental purpose. Both can tie up a systems limited memory and limit the computer’s functions.
There is an additional threat caused by the Alureon Trojan other than control of the browser or additional malware downloads. The presence of this Trojan can leave a computer open and allow a person access to file storage. A computer containing personal information about finances, social security numbers and bank accounts may lead the owner to become a victim of identity theft. This would include any windows compatible system connected to a network.
The computer firewall can provide some protection against an attack from an Alureon Trojan. Generally the infectious program finds a way to bypass security and gains access to the computer registry. Software programs such as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Malwarebytes has free malware removal) are available to search and delete Alureon.
Computers provide a variety of important functions that most have come to rely on. Computer systems now store valuable personal information that should be protected against hackers, hijackers and viruses. The best recommendation is to have software dedicated to rooting out Trojans and other infectious programs that can provide an opening into the computer system. The next best recommendation is to continually update protection software. Security is an essential component of any computer system that connects to the Internet.
For free automatic removal we recommend using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. This program is widely recommended by reputable third-party sites, so you can be reasonably confident of its ability to safely get rid of Alureon Trojan Horse and any hidden Trojans. As a precaution we recommend double checking your system with Spyware Doctor. This program requires paid registration to enable deletions, however it has a money back guaranteed and is the top of the line in malware removal. It should catch malware that evades Malwarebytes and block anything that tries to reinstal itself.
Important note: If Malwarebytes is blocked by malware then run Chameleon (Start Menu → All Programs → MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware → Tools → Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Chameleon).
