Kuaiso Toolbar - Your New Best Friend?

Have a new buddy with you when you browse these days? It could be Kuaiso Toolbar, and if that's the case, it's best to eliminate your new friend from your system before it causes any real damage.

What is Kuaiso Toolbar?

Kuaiso Toolbar is a browser helper object, or BHO. It installs itself when you download other software online, and it was created to send you advertisements for products that you simply care nothing about. Kuaiso Toolbar has the ability to communicate sensitive personal information about you to its home server, so removal is essential for a safer computing experience.

What Might I Notice with Kuaiso Toolbar?

If you do have Kuaiso Toolbar on your system, you may notice a number of things. One of the  most obvious things you'll see is the toolbar itself when you open Internet Explorer. It usually sits at the top of the screen, just under the commands, and it should have a number of links for other sites on it. It is important that you not click the links for other sites. They will take you to Kuaiso's affiliate advertisers, and many of them have software that will install on your machine in a driveby installation. This means that just by visiting the site, you could be adding adware, spyware, or malware to your computer.

Another thing you'll probably notice once Kuaiso Toolbar is installed on your system is the increase in the popup advertisements you get each time you surf online. Kuaiso will send you an advertisement based on the keywords in each page you look at. So, if you read a news article about credit card rate increases, you might get a popup for a debt management service. However, even if you don't browse sites that Kuaiso has good keywords for, you might end up with unrelated advertisements. This means that even if you're reading a biography of the president, you may get an advertisement for a gambling site. The advertising content is one of the bigger problems with Kuaiso. Some of the advertisers on the network are not family friendly services. It's not unheard of to end up with advertisements for pornography sites or gambling sites, so if you have minors who use the affected computer on a regular basis, it is important to keep them off of it until you have uninstalled Kuaiso Toolbar.

Browsing isn't the only time you'll get advertisements. You may notice that simply working on a document or playing a game, an advertisement will popup on your screen. As time goes on, you may even notice popups with increasing frequency, making you a little more annoyed with Kuaiso Toolbar every time you turn on your computer.

You're also sure to notice that Kuaiso Toolbar has taken the liberty of changing your computer's default home page for you. While you may once have had the local weather for your area as your default page, Kuaiso Toolbar will have switched it to something more advertising related. The Kuaiso site itself or one of its affiliate advertisers are prime candidates for your new default home page. Watch out! It may switch every time you browse while Kuaiso is installed on your system. Your default redirect page will have also changed locations. Again, it will either be the Kuaiso Toolbar home page or one of the affiliated companies.

One final thing you may notice when Kuaiso becomes part of  your system is new links in your favorites folder or on your computer's desktop. Don't click these links, though, as they will take you to other sites that could install adware or spyware on your system.

How To Remove Kuaiso

Removing Kuaiso Toolbar from your system is a fairly easy process. The first thing to keep in mind is that working through your add/remove programs control panel will do you virutally no good at all. While you may think you have it removed, the next time you log on, it will only reinstall itself, so it's best not to waste your time there. You have two good options to remove Kuaiso Toolbar. First, you can use your antispyware software to eliminate it from your system. If you don't currently have antispyware software, ParetoLogic is a good choice. Keep it up to date, and scan your system often. It will remove Kuaiso Toolbar, and it will help to keep you safe from other programs like it.

Your other option is to manually remove Kuaiso Toolbar. You must remove all of the associated program files and registry keys in order for it to work well. A partial list follows this article. Keep in mind, though, working within your system's registry is dangerous, so if you're not a professional, at least have one by your side as you work through the process for the first time.
