SpyCrush - A Program You Won't Fall In Love With

Those who are in the market for an anti-virus or anti-spyware program, which will protect their computer from all the traps out there, are at an unusual risk that they may not be aware of. On the web, there are a number of rogue security programs being advertised and they will do anything but protect a computer. SpyCrush is likely a clone of VirusBurst. After all, it looks just like VirusBurst and if you read the user agreement, VirusBurst is actually in it. Essentially, this newer version of VirusBurst is a form of "ransomware," because if a web surfer does install it, instead of it scanning their computer for spyware and viruses and promptly removing them, it will actually issue warnings titled "Security Alert!" which advise them to then download the full version of SpyCrush to correct the situation.

Signs that SpyCrush Is On Your Computer

How do you know if SpyCrush has made its new home on your computer?

• Are Your Browser Settings Different? If your browser settings seem to have been changed behind your back, for example your default homepage is different, then you have reason to be concerned. You may also noticed that your desktop background has changed, you have new icons on your screen, or new browser favorites installed.

• Getting Some Security Alerts? If you are receiving security alerts that also are accompanied with in-your-face pop-up ads compelling you to download helpful software, then you have even more reason to be concerned! The security alerts are especially effective because they come from the security tray on your desktop and resemble normal PC warnings - they look just like the Windows notifications you receive regularly.

• Machine A Bit Slower Than It Used To Be? Once your computer does have the program, every time you start up windows, so will SpyCrush. Not only will your computer be more difficult to use, but a third party might be monitoring your Internet activity without you ever knowing.

Removing SpyCrush

One of the initial things you can do to try to ward off SpyCrush is to just uninstall it! Go to the Start menu, click Control Panel, and then double click the Add/Remove Programs icon. Next, a window will open up that lists all the programs you have installed on your computer. Scroll down to SpyCrush (or SpyCrush 5.1) and click Add/Remove or Add/Change Program. Following this, an uninstall wizard will guide you through the rest of the process. If you are asked to reboot your computer, don't! You can restart it later.  SpyCrush may not be available on the list, or it may not allow you to uninstall it, or it might still be very active on your computer even after you install it. But if this is the case, don't worry.

Don't manually remove SpyCrush yourself - It's extremely challenging and even dangerous to manually remove SpyCrush, as there are sensitive files involved. So that is not recommended, unless you hire skilled and trained professionals to get the job done for you or you've got a friend or family member who really knows what they're doing and can help. If you do have someone to help, though, there are more than a handful of SpyCrush files that you can track down and remove yourself. You can simply go to the Start menu, click Search, and under "All Files and Documents," search for the following seven files: spycrush.exe, spycrush, spycrush 5.1 lnk, spycrush.lnk, spycrush 5.1 website link, uninstall spycrush 5.1.lnk, and syycum.dll. If they come up in the search, right click and delete them. However, remember that many anti-spyware programs hide files associated with it so that you cannot get rid of them!

As you've probably noticed, the above options don't always work. So if you want to effectively fight against SpyCrush and others like it, you have to have sophisticated anti-spyware programs installed on your computer!

The real key to combating ransomware like SpyCrush is to invest in its opposite: safe, helpful software. There are plenty of real anti-spyware and anti-virus programs that are designed to scan your computer for any and all threats and then remove them accordingly. Removing SpyCrush Automatically/Safely
