TrustFighter
For Information and Removal of TrustFighter- what is TrustFighter- automatic and manual removal instructions - personal assistance provided online or by phone to safely remove TrustFighter. Should You Trust TrustFighter? There are a lot of questions surrounding rogue antivirus programs, what they are, and as importantly, what they are not. If you think that you have one of these rogue programs, such as TrustFighter, on your computer, your best ally is useful, valid information. What is TrustFighter? Before answering this very important question, it is useful to know what rogue antivirus programs are and what type of characteristics they typically display. While each specific one behaves in slightly different ways, the objective of all of these programs is to persuade computer users to purchase their fully licensed version. Why would someone buy a program like this? Because the programs typically create false warning messages and scan results in order to create the illusion that there is something amiss in your system. The first impulse many people have upon seeing a message indicating they have severe security risks is to fix them as quickly as possible. The problem is that the programs do not resolve any existing security issues. In fact, it is quite likely there are no security issues at all, except, of course, for the presence of the rogue antivirus program. TrustFighter fakes a scan of your computer and issues warnings designed to divert you to a rogue website. Here, the program continues to try to sell you its full version. It is from the WinGuard family and is similar to WiniFighter, TrustSoldier, and SafeFighter. TrustFighter is also seen as Trust Fighter or Trust-Fighter. Is TrustFighter Installed in Your System? TrustFighter, like other rogue antivirus programs, makes use of pop-ups. You will likely notice two different types of ads - and remember, that is essentially what they are. The first is false scan results. These look very much like those that would be generated by your legitimate virus scan program. In the upper right corner, you will see the TrustFighter name, with the logo, "Help protect your PC." There are three interlinking rings in blue, red, and green. A task bar gives you the option of choosing, "Scan," "Quarantine," "Report," "Tasks," and "Real Time Protection." On the left side are scan options. The ad will claim to have scanned your system and found several security risks, which sometimes number in the hundreds. Because this looks like a real scan, many people are convinced of the legitimacy of the scan and opt to purchase the full version or at least click on the link provided. Another common ad is the false warning message. You might receive a pop-up on your screen with the following warning: Spyware Alert! Your computer is infected with spyware. It could damage your critical files or expose your private data on the internet. Click here to register your copy of TrustFighter and remove spyware threats from your PC. You may also notice that your computer is operating more slowly than usual. TrustFighter burrows its way into your system and launches itself automatically when you boot up your machine. It remains resident in the background, which means that it uses quite a bit of your CPU. This leaves less for your regular programs and can make tasks like opening documents, loading webpages, or downloading files very slow. If your computer is normally fast and then experiences a slowdown, it is a good indication that you have a rogue antivirus program installed in your system. Other common indicators are new desktop shortcuts and changed internet settings. Your homepage may be replaced by one advertising TrustFighter's "protection," and you may be diverted to one of its rogue sites. How Did TrustFighter Become Installed? Rogue antivirus programs are like hitchhikers into your computer. They depend on a ride from Trojans. TrustFighter is usually brought in by a Trojan which disguises itself as an update to Adobe Flash. If it becomes downloaded, it will install the rogue program, as well as a host of random, harmless files into your C drive. These are the files the "scans" find and identify as threats. In reality, they were put there by the program and cannot be removed by purchasing the full version. Most of the time, TrustFighter enters without the computer user's consent or knowledge. It is possible, however, to inadvertently download it intentionally. Not that you intend to install a rogue program, but TrustFighter and other like it can be very convincing. It has a legitimate-looking official website, and being inundated with warnings creates the urgency to act. Removing TrustFighter Whether you have downloaded it yourself or it has been promoted by a Trojan, it is essential to remove TrustFighter as soon as you notice its presence. It is important to remember that this is not a virus. You cannot remove it using your regular antivirus scan. Rogue programs like this are insidious because they are not detected by our installed security programs. To remove it then, you have to use more advanced methods. There are two available: automatic removal and manual removal. Automatic removal is appropriate for anyone, but is especially well-suited to those with little technical experience. A reputable program like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Malwarebytes has free malware removal) will detect and remove TrustFighter and other rogue antivirus programs. Unlike your regular antivirus program, this is designed to detect rogue programs, which are adept at hiding in your system. Simply download, follow the instructions and your computer will be running optimally in no time. The other option is manual removal, which can be very effective. The problem is that it takes patience, technical knowledge and experience, and a lot of time. You have to find and delete each and every registry key and file associated with the program to ensure it is entirely removed. This sounds easy enough, but the file names tend to look the same, and you can easily miss one or accidentally delete a legitimate file. If you have experience with your system registry, the following instructions will help you remove TrustFighter: Stop Processes: TrustFighter.exe uninstall.exe za23d9wnload5r515.exe lil6.tmp.exe Disable DLL Files: 1044zhackt9ol5b2.dll d3d550c.dll z9815spy765.dll Remove Registry Keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareTrustFighter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstallTrustFighter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARETrustFighter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetEnumRootLEGACY_TRUSTFIGHTERSVC HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTrustFighterSvc HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun "TrustFighter" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionImage File Execution Optionssvchost.exe HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun "lil6.tmp.exe" HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun "TrustFighter" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionImage File Execution Optionssvchost.exe "GlobalFlag" "0x02000100" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionImage File Execution Optionssvchost.exe "VerifierDlls" = "d3d550c.dll" Remove Files: Program Files%TrustFighter Software Program Files%TrustFighter SoftwareTrustFighter Program Files%TrustFighter SoftwareTrustFighterlicense.txt Program Files%TrustFighter SoftwareTrustFightertrustsoldier.exe Program Files%TrustFighter SoftwareTrustFighteruninstall.exe WINDOWS%102z6w59m3c4.cpl WINDOWS%1044zhackt9ol5b2.dll WINDOWS%10683v9rzs656.cpl WINDOWS%10915hief309z.cpl Documents and Settings%All UsersDesktopTrustFighter.lnk Documents and Settings%All UsersStart MenuProgramsTrustFighter Documents and Settings%All UsersStart MenuProgramsTrustFighter1 TrustFighter.lnk Documents and Settings%All UsersStart MenuProgramsTrustFighter2 Homepage.lnk Documents and Settings%All UsersStart MenuProgramsTrustFighter3 Uninstall.lnk TrustFighter.exe za23d9wnload5r515.exe 1 TrustFighter.lnk 2 Homepage.lnk 3 Uninstall.lnk TrustFighter.lnk d3d550c.dll z9815spy765.dll z9cfthreat4589.bin d98thi5f2122z.ocx f85a9dware256z.exe lil6.tmp.exe z105hackto5l709.cpl Removing TrustFighter Automatically/SafelyFor free automatic removal we recommend using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
