Ultimate Fixer - An Ultimate Threat in Disguise!

A clandestinely installed video codec application, Ultimate Fixer is closely associated with two other rogue spyware applications called Ultimate Defender and Ultimate Cleaner. This newest rogue application finds its way into your computer, via a fake and bad video codec called Video Access, which is actually a deceptive codec in the guise of Trojan Zlob or Trojan.emCodec.B downloader. When you download this fraudulent codec, you will start getting bogus security center warnings that ultimately prompt you to install the spurious Ultimate Fixer application. Once Video Access installs itself in the system, you will begin to receive "Fake" and "Fabricated" Security Center warnings. These warnings will prompt you to download and install Ultimate Fixer to correct those errors falsely reported on your system.

Trojan Zlob will also drop Vundo functionality in your System 32 folder of the operating system. Running this application installer interface is very strange; Ultimate Fixer will not provide any type of install interface box, while you are installing the software, rather the program will provide a window that warns you of several system errors in your system. The security message that appears on your desktop is similar to those that originate from the actual Windows Security Center. This message will read as follows:

"The above integrity threats were discovered using only a quick pre-scan. Please click the ‘Continue' button to perform a full scan of the above errors and potential system integrity threats with Ultimate Fixer free scanner. Please note by clicking the below button you accept Ultimate Fixer free scanner terms and conditions."

When you respond to these messages, its host (Nous-Tech Solutions Limited at ufixer.com) immediately appears on your screen to cajole you to download the program. Ultimate Fixer never detects any parasitic viruses in your computer system, but targets harmless and weak systems and grades authentic installation folders as threats, to trick and deceive you into purchasing the full software. Never trust this application and you may need to remove this program very quickly. Permitting Ultimate Fixer to fix, modify and correct what it has reported will not result in it fixing, modifying or correcting anything. On the other hand, it will unnecessarily interfere and fiddle with the legitimate virus protection software applications installed on your system. Ultimate Fixer will also disable and change your firewall settings and other security applications. Classified as a blended threat, this spyware will subject your system to a high-risk scenario and jeopardy, by compromising sensitive, critical and important personal information.

Ultimate Fixer displays several unique characteristics such as:

  • It displays fraudulent advertisements about its ability to detect and remove virus and other threats from your computer system.
  • It can hijack your browser, record important keystrokes and personal data from your computer. It will also allow illegal downloading of unsolicited files from a distant location.
  • It can also set up a remote connection with the host, Nous-Tech Solutions Limited.
  • It can also exploit different security flaws that exist within your system. It can also distribute various threats to other systems within your network.
  • It can also place illegal and tracking cookies in your computer system that can track and note down your browsing habits.
  • It can eat and hog up a considerable amount of system resources.
  • It has the ability to up-date itself without your permission or consent.
  • Once installed, it becomes very difficult to uninstall this application, as it stays in the memory module of the system as a resident.
  • This spurious application never provides enough Privacy Clauses nor does it give a EULA, which is against the normal convention of clean and ethical business practices.

The sure protection against Ultimate Fixer is to detect and eliminate all application-related processes, registry keys, values, numbers, working DLLs, and other hazardous files from your PC. Uninstall the main Ultimate Fixer application by using the ADD/Remove program of your computer system. Once you remove and delete the main application from your computer, the next step is to detect the traces of Ultimate Fixer hidden in the registry and destroy them one by one. However, this process is a time consuming task that is also very risky and dangerous for novice or inexperienced computer users. The most common Ultimate Fixer application process in the affected computer system is "ultimatefixer.exe", and you will need to stop and remove this process, by using either a manual removal method or automatic removal software. To stop entry of this debilitating application that ultimately results in damage to your system, it is better and practical to use a good and efficient automatic spyware remover such as Enigma's SpyHunter or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Malwarebytes has free malware removal) . Manual removal could be very risky for novice computer users or non-technical people, as they may run the risk of harming or destroying the entire operating system.

If you still face a problem, you can always contact ParetoLogic to have a one-to-one real time help offered throughout the day. To prevent any type of rogue spyware entering your computer system, you will need to protect it by following standard protocols of safe and secure web browsing; one such protocol is to never respond to any questionable pop-up advertisements or  download unknown and strange software applications.

Removing Ultimate Fixer Automatically/Safely

For free automatic removal we recommend using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. This program is widely recommended by reputable third-party sites, so you can be reasonably confident of its ability to safely get rid of Ultimate Fixer and any hidden Trojans. As a precaution we recommend double checking your system with SpyHunter. This program requires paid registration to enable deletions, however it has a money back guaranteed and is the top of the line in malware removal.
