WhenUSave - Not The Remedy For Saving Your Sanity

Tired of those annoying popup ads? Wonder how they got there in the first place? Curious about the new weather display information on your computer? The chances are pretty good that you have a rather nasty adware program on your computer called WhenUSave.

What is WhenUSave?

WhenUSave is adware that was installed with the help of a trojan at your last download session. It often comes bundled with other shareware and freeware to help the creators pay the bills, but it can certainly wreak havoc with your system and with your lifestyle.

Things To Watch For - WhenUSave Characteristics

Once WhenUSave becomes part of your system, you'll start to notice a number of things. One of the first things you'll notice is the sheer number of popup advertisements appearing on your computer at regular intervals. Keep in mind that a program like WhenUSave can create popups when you're online and when you're offline, so you'll never be safe from that annoyance. Most of the popups you see will be for affiliated programs, and clicking on just one of those links will install more adware and spyware to your system, so it's best to steer clear of them when you can.

You might also begin to notice popup weather forecasts for you area. Wondering how it knows where you are? WhenUSave has the power to spy on you, as any adware application does. It records your internet viewing habits as well as other personal information about you and transmits this material back to its home server so you can be sent the appropriate ads. It's watching your internet viewing experience so you can be better marketed to. This is both annoying and frightening in many contexts. If it can watch your internet viewing habits, it can watch other material about you as well.

One of the final things you might notice after WhenUSave has become part of your machine is a suddenly slower computer. WhenUSave doesn't like to be lonely, so it brings several of its other buddies with it. They watch out for each other, and they also all install a registry key to make sure they start when the computer does. While you may feel like you're only running one or two programs at any given time, you're actually running lots of programs at the same time, eating up your virtual memory. This makes your computer run much, much slower.

WhenUSave Response

According the the company, WhenUSave is a harmless program that enhances your computing experience by sending you the perfect coupons and advertisements for you. They suggest that they would never compromise the security of others, and that they have received frequent praise for their antispyware efforts and for their ability to target the right people at the right time. This, though, like most adware program claims, is simply untrue. You didn't ask for WhenUSave on your computer, and it doesn't need to be there. Whether they suggest they are spying on you or not, they have the ability to, and if you want to protect your privacy, removing WhenUSave is your best option.

WhenUSave Removal

Removing WhenUSave is very difficult. Part of the program is to install a system of check and balances on your machine. It wants to make sure that it is running all of the time on your machine, so lots of other programs are installed with it. If  one of them gets turned off, the others are able to turn it back on, so the entire program will be with you all of the time.

You have two basic options if you'd like to remove WhenUSave from your computer. Your first option is to manually remove the program through the system files and your computer's registry. This is a good way to get rid of it, but it can also be a bit dangerous. If you've never worked within the registry before,  you should be aware of the fact that a single mistaken keystroke that gets saved can ruin your entire system. If you do choose to manually remove the program, a list of program files and registry keys involved follows this article.

Your other option is to work through your current anti-spyware program. If you don't have an antispyware program on your machine, it's certainly time to get one. Beware, though, that shopping around for antispyware software may lead to additional adware. Many adware programs claim to be antispyware software, but truthfully, they'll do more to harm your system than protect it. ParetoLogic is a good choice for antispyware software, but whatever you decide to use, be sure to update it regularly and run a scan on your system at least once per week.

WhenUSave will save you little and compromise your system security. Eliminate it today.
